We made our first donation to The Wildlife Trusts on 12th January 2026. Thank you everyone who bought a copy and contributed to this. ALL royalties from sales of What Comes to Light will continue to be set aside for future donations.

The theme for this submission call was Treasure in Unexpected Places, which is the enduring message of Trash Cat Lit. We’re excited to share the work that interpreted that message best. A mixture of genres, styles and voices – we’ve collated an anthology of amazing short fiction from both existing and new Trash Family.
