For this short sharp Pop-Up we’re looking for short sharp microfiction for our mini bin. Writing smol stories is a real skill and we want to embrace it. Micro stories are distilled to perfection, down to their most potent form, without sacrificing the core truths. Beauty in the brevity.
Our turnaround with this one will also be small and sharp – we aim to publish on 21st March.
We love a really good story with a compelling voice.
Start strong, finish with a punch, leave us with your words lingering long after we turn off the lights…

Submission Guidelines
- We ‘re looking for Micro Fiction only (no CNF or poetry) between 50 and 175 words (excluding title)
- One submission per writer – new and unpublished stories
- No genre limits
- Use simple formatting – 12pt, easy-to-read-font, double spaced
- No name etc. on the story doc – the filename should be the title only.
- Submission is via the Google Form linked below. Use separate forms for multiple submissions.
